Service Specialist

Provides general support in various areas and departments throughout the Company. Responsibilities will vary depending on assignments
Incumbent is fully trained on all aspects of the job and is in the process of developing expertise. Support client's insureds with a focus on first contact resulotuion. Will handle insureds requests through multiple channels including phone and policy processing. This role will be heavily focused on data entry and multi-tasking. This project will primarily be dealing with Medicare and Medicaid therefore experience with either is preferred- i.e. Potential to make phone calls requesting SSN or Medicaid ID numbers, Generate template letters out of the system

 

 

Required:

  • Generally 2-3 years of clerical, office or support experience

  • Expert level with data entry

  • Comfortable with Excel- able to build and organize spreadsheets

  • Comfortable with inbound/outbound calls- potential to ask difficult questions to customers

  • Potential to make phone calls requesting SSN or Medicaid ID numbers

  • Intermediate PC skills plus working knowledge of applicable office equipment skills

  • Basic analytical skills

Preferred

  • Medical bill coding (nice to haves)

  • IDC codes (nice to haves)

Required:
High School Graduate or equivalent plus vocational training
