Change Management Consultant

Change management is about enabling teams to launch key initiatives successfully, adopt it widely and realize business value.  CSAA Insurance Group, an AAA insurer, is looking for a Change Management consultant for a 6 month term (with a possibility of extension).

In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing change management strategies and plans to support the implementation of key strategic initiatives, with a goal of achieving adoption among key stakeholder groups.  The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, business acumen, a practical understanding of change management methodologies, and the ability to flex in a changing environment and have a bent for continuous improvement. 

The Consultant will work with a broad array of stakeholders to engage them in change.

 

Speific Duties/Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to determine change management scope and effort

  • Lead change management activities by applying a structured change management process and tools to create a strategy and plan to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative

  • Clearly identify project stakeholders

  • Assess the change impact by conducting impact analyses, assessing change readiness and identifying key stakeholders.  Document all impacts of process or tool change to determine user support and resistance.

    Delivery

  • Create and manage change management work plan, variance and status reports

  • Work with the Change Management Manager and project leads to insure that change management activities are incorporated into overall project plan.

  • Implement a holistic change management strategy to drive adoption, including engagement/communication plans, training and development plans and measurement of readiness and post go live. 

  • Deliver all sponsor/leadership plans

  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of all engagement activities, including communications

  • Support training efforts by providing input, documenting requirements and supporting the design and delivery of training programs

  • Develop all messaging and content: PPT, go live messages, inform communications, etc. 

  • Measure and report on adoption

  • Manage issues, risks and scope in relation to the change management strategy and plans

     

    Change Leadership

  • Foster a culture of change, innovation and continuous improvement within teams and the organization

  • Coach and influence stakeholders about strategic and tactical change management

  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption of the changes and resistance as well

  • Manage and support change management team projects (as required)

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in managing change and adoption of IT systems across an enterprise to include knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools

  • Deep knowledge of Change Management concepts, methods and application

  • Excellent innovative skills in seeking out new approaches and solutions

  • Change Management Certification from Prosci

  • Ability to influence a team of professionals and internal customers to support the delivery, support and optimization of change management initiatives

  • Change agent: ability to anticipate and execute action plans to proactively manage and drive change in an organization

  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and executing tactics

  • Strong interpersonal skills, influencing skills, leadership ability and management skills

  • Results-driven team player

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and provide direction to project resources

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to conceptualize and communicate employee experience needs

  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to interact well at all levels of the organization

  • Strong Coaching and Influencing Skills:  Ability to influence without formal authority

  • Insurance industry experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a B.S. or B.A., preferably in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior or a related discipline

  • Master’s degree Business Administration, Organizational Development or equivalent
