--Creates, modifies and maintains both functional and non-functional requirements for system enhancements, upgrades and new functionality. (Non-functional requirements are system requirements related to the hardware/software environment in which the application will operate, but are not part of the actual business function(s) performed by the application.) Analyzes systems to determine root cause of problems and creates system work flow. Partners with and provides support to project stakeholders throughout the SDLC in understanding and clarifying the requirements under examination.
Aligns highly complex solutions with business and IT strategies. Works closely with customers, business analysts, developers and other team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
--Involved in the full systems life cycle. Responsible for designing, documenting, implementing, maintaining and supporting highly complex or mission critical application software that is delivered on time and within budget. May lead small teams to accomplish assigned projects.
--Root Cause/solution recommendation - Analyzes defects with an eye towards finding root cause, recommending both technical and non-technical solutions.
--The technology environment in which this role functions includes PeopleSoft Financials (G/L, A/P, Asset Management, Expenses), Coupa Purchasing, Emptoris Vendor & Contract management, Blackline Reconciliation, Hyperion Budgeting & Planning, Informatica ETL and Oracle Fusion Accounting Hub.
-5+ years IT Business Analyst or Programmer/Analyst
--system documentation experience and/or technical writing or an equivalent
--ability to create non-functional requirements and translate business requirements into non-functional requirements
-Solid understanding of the SDLC, quality assurance and integration methodologies
-PeopleSoft experience – GL, AP, Fixed Asset, Time and Expense modules (worked as an IT analyst in a PeopleSoft environment)
-Ability to trace given transactions through a complex system and document how systems and overlapping processes interact
-Demonstrated Communications skill - Verbal, Written, and Presentation
-Demonstrated ability to work in a high expectation team environment
-Ability to accept delegated responsibility and execute independently on it
-Insurance industry experience
Demonstrated competency in 3 or more of the following:

--Continuous employment in the role of an IT Business Analyst or Programmer/Analyst for 4+ years
-Certification of Competency in Business Analysis™ (CCBA®)
-Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®)

-Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt
-A Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Accounting
-Obtaining a CMA – Certified Management Accountant, CPA – Certified Public Accountant; CA – Chartered Accountant (other than US)
-4+ plus years of Accounting related functional job experience
-Employed in an IT organization or consulting firm in an business architect, analyst or developer role for 5+ years
-Certification(s) in ITIL, CISA, CSSP, CISM, ISA, etc.
Financial Systems / ERP
-Employed as a consultant executing a financial system implementation/upgrade
-Employed in an IT organization and had involvement as an analyst in a financial system implementation or system upgrade project.
Bachelor's degree in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or other related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
